Starting with the email form Pakistani Celiac Society( www.celiac.com.pk ) regional director from Peshawar emailed me that a known super market in Islamabad has the product on sale with a big sign board which said " gluten free flour available". She was shocked and emailed me the details of the place and what the store keeper said when asked questions about the product. Lack of knowledge and awareness i must say.
The other tool used by the manufacturer is advertising through sms. I don't have any reservations on the channel but the sms is so funny that one is ready to donate some amount to the manufacturer so he is able to afford to send 2 sms rather than using short, wrong and nonprofessional style of sms to save cost and reduce sms size to 1. (Had to remove the number and email so there is no argument.) The sms I got was:
"Is this msg true??SYED DIET ATTA 4 SUGAR WT CONCIOUS& WHEAT ALERGY PERSONS GLUTEN FREE PCSIR APROVED AVAILABLE ALL SUPER STORES IN KAR ISB LHR& HYD 03XXXXXXXXXxxxxXX@hotmail.com"
Pathetic wording and style, please Mr.manufacturer get some education, i can not help. You please read and try to understand this misleading wrong publication. Don't act on this sms information but educate others of this spam.
Hope the readers spread the word and avoid these advertising sms and save their health.

you are right there is a company name syed diet ata..and i have spoke to them regarding the authenticity that their flour is gluten free. they said pak army has also tested our flour and pcscir also tested it..! and we are exporting to europe and uk they have confirmed and test it too...i ate that flour for 2 3 months..and i did not find any harm or any diarrehea or the symptoms which were occurring to me when i was undiagnosed and taking wheat
SYED DIET ATTA is well recognized due to gluten free and low starch and now on sale in more than 25 cities. Many children who could not eat wheat flour are now taking it healthily. I request the Society to promote it at your platform also.
Syed Diet Atta has been confirmed from PCSIR labs and NIH Islamabad that it is GLUTEN FREE. If any one is in doubt please get it tested from any lab in any country through out the world. Please don't misguide the people.CSD head Office keeps the report of National Institute of Health, Islamabad.

eat what ever you like to, i just inform people and have seen the bogus reports of the subject.

I do suffer from wheat allergy and to a recent visit to Pakistan some one suggested trying Syed Diet Atta. To my surprise it tastes like Wheat and I didn't get any reaction as a result of consuming it. I am not in any way endorsing it and every individual has a responsibility to take due diligence. The severity of Allergy can have a variable reaction.
